Faux Stitches

So the stitches I do on a lot of layouts.. aren't real stitches..
what I do is use my ruler and poke holes (the Tim Holtz rulers allready has holes so it's real easy to line it up along your photo..)

-and around the flowers... that was freehand poking holes wink.gif cannot do that with a ruler-

then I connect the lines with a black marker ( I use the black american craft Galaxy marker a lot)

I let it dry .. and then I go over it with a white Sakura Souflé pen...
and that is basically it =)

Mirielle, your technique is a lot more involved than mine!

I just draw the "dash" stitches!

I have that ruler, and hadn't thought of using it like that. I usually do my faux stitches free hand, but will definitely try this!

I've seen a lot of faux stitching Mireille but wowsers!! your's looks so real and heavy duty like book binding stitches.....I'm totally going to try this technique! thanks for sharing!
