I am still so excited to have been asked to be this month's guest designer! Thanks again Pam!!!

I had so much fun working with the September Album kit! When I saw the papers in this kit, I knew I wanted to do something with a school theme. I was strolling through Hobby Lobby shortly after the kit arrived and I spotted this really cool wire apple. I knew it was exactly what I was looking for! I have a sister who is a teacher and I plan on giving this to her as a gift!

Weaving Supplies:
Patterned paper cut into 1/2 inch strips
Spray bottle filled with water
Heat gun

To weave the strips through the metal easier I lightly misted each strip of paper and then ran it over and under each metal bar. Don't be afraid to let the paper bend a little or even tear here and there. If it does tear, just cut it and then start with another strip of paper. I used the heat gun to dry each strip once I got it where I wanted it. The heat kind of molds it into shape. Be careful not to get to close or hold it in one place for too long or the paper will burn. (Speaking from experience here! LOL!!!) Remember to go opposite with your weaving when you start the next row.

I hope you all find this helpful, that you give this a try and if you have any questions PLEASE don't hesitate to ask!

This is sooo cute! Wonder if I could use some rusty colored/orange patterned paper and make a pumpkin for the upcoming holidays? Hmmmm...

Gonna have to check my Hobby Lobby for that wire apple. Thanks for the tips - it was great!

This is a great gift idea. I wonder if a fall pumpkin one would look just as wonderful. Might have to give this one a try. As I am so into fall and decorate everywhere when the season comes around. TFS
