Only a few more days until the reveal for the MCS May kits!! and boy are you in for a treat!! I'm going to be a little naughty again this month and slip you all a peek at a page I did with the May Limited Edition kit. This kit is packed full of gorgeous papers (some really amazing flocked papers too!)....and lots of items that will really have your creativity flowing. Among the LE kit items this month there will be Tattered Angels Glimmer mist and TA Glimmer Screens.

Well the Design team went to town using the beautiful gold spritzer and the beautiful glimmer screens. In this layout I used the glimmer screens in a very different way! I created a unique embellishment for my l/o using the screens, some copper dimensional paint and some Stickles (glitter glue). Here's the layout......

The Glimmer chips are these finely cut opaque plastic pieces that you can use to do masking on your pages with the glimmer mist. I tried out something a little different with them. Here are the steps to make up this dragonfly embellishment.....

Step one.....

......Take a bottle of copper or gold dimensional paint (there are many brands out there, Tulip, Scribbles....they can be found at Michaels)......and just follow the outlines of the plastic screen. It will stick to the screen while it's wet. Let it dry completely (you can speed up the dry time with a blow dryer (don't let the dryer get too hot, try to use a lower setting)

Step 2........

.....once it's dry, the copper 'lace' you created will quite easily pull away from the screen! Once you get it started it will lift off quite nicely.

Step 3......

.....position the embellishement on your page where you would like it to sit. No need to glue it down, this next part will adhere the whole thing to the page. You simply choose some colours of glitter glue (I used green, blue and lavender to get an irridescent look) and start filling in the little spaces. That's it! Presto! you've got yourself a fun and unique page embellishment!.......

Can't wait for you girls to get this kit!! you're going to love it!!

I was so excited to see this awesome tip. I had cut flower's out of vinyl and I put white scribbles on the backing of the vinyl. I sprinkled it with glitter and let it dry. I peeled it off and applied it to my paper filling in the flower pedals. Next time I will apply the paint thicker. Use a tool and be patient to pull off. This is so cool. Now using my revolution cutting vinyl I can make all kinds of these. Thanks Gabi.

LOL! glad you liked it!! Here's one more tip! Rather than having to fill in extra Stickles to get more thickness and depth (stickles tend to dry flat).....add some Diamond Glaze over the stickles when they're dry....you'll get a more glassy filled in look!

Well, look no further LOL!!.....the Glimmer screens are in May's LE kit!!.....if you are looking for the gold/bronze dimensional paint, these can be found at Michaels or most craft stores. At Michael's it is not in the Scrapbooking area, it's were you would find T-shirt paints etc.
